The recent 2025 Safer Summer Travel Report shows that many Americans are being scammed on summer vacations.
Why is this still an issue?
I wrote on this topic a few years ago, when that report from McAfee stated 1 in 3 Americans were being scammed on travel.
Now it’s 1 in 5 American travelers being scammed, with some of the most common issues coming from fake vacation rentals, social media scams, and impersonation or phishing scams.
It’s a sad reality.
Thankfully, there’s an easy way for Americans to avoid being scammed – work with a verified travel advisor.
It’s the smart way to travel after all, given how much they can leverage their partnerships to enhance a client’s vacation.
My travel advisor reader friends should be using this scam report info to showcase their value.
I’m sure you’re all like me and baffled at the idea that too many Americans are still being scammed on their vacation plans.
