The Globus family of brands, which comprises tour operators Globus and Cosmos, as well as river cruise line Avalon Waterways, has been working with travel advisors for decades, and provides some of the best resources they need to succeed.
TravelPulse asked Cory McGillivray, Globus’ senior director of sales operations and channel marketing, about what makes the Globus family of brands stand out for travel advisors. As always, feel free to register on the travel advisor portal and contact your Globus Business Development Manager for more detailed information.
“There’s no Globus family of brands without our travel advisor partners,” said McGillivray. “Advisors don’t just sell travel—they shape journeys and spark joy. We’re deeply committed to making their jobs easier and their businesses stronger—with early commissions, powerful tools, dedicated support and the kind of loyalty that grows long-term partnerships. When advisors thrive, we all go further together.”
So let’s get down to it, shall we?
What Is Globus’s Commission Structure Like?

The Globus family of brands offers commissions of up to 17 percent across the brands. The more a travel advisor books their clients on Globus tours or cruises, they’ll earn more.
Their commissions are also paid within seven days of final payment, which means travel advisors can enjoy their hard-earned commission before their clients even travel.
“While some travel styles, like Cosmos and Escapes by Globus, have capped rates, top-tier commissions are available for those who qualify through their host or consortia relationships,” McGillivray explained. “What makes our structure even more rewarding is this: When advisors reach a top-tier commission with Avalon, they receive that same rate with Globus—even if their land revenue isn’t at the same level yet. And vice versa. We’re here to help advisors earn more, more easily.”
Consortia and Host Agency Partnerships

Globus is a partner with many of the major and well-known host agencies and consortia, and while their partnerships provide different benefits, the result is the same: more exclusive offers, marketing materials, training experiences and better commission opportunities.
“We’ve cultivated strong relationships with all major host agencies and consortia—Travel Leaders Network, Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble and more—because collaboration is core to our mission,” said McGillivray. “These partnerships unlock exclusive offers, co-branded campaigns, custom content and curated training experiences. If you’re part of a consortium, you’re never just supported. You’re set-up for success.”
Travel Advisor Support & Resources

Globus offers an incredible selection of resources for its travel advisor partners, including a new “FOR U, BY US” FAM trip program that provides enhances sales-based training, business plans and pre- and post-trip support for each FAM a travel advisor takes.
It also hosts a wide variety of in-person events for travel advisors, including its Cruise Director & Tour Director Road Show, along with participation in other important industry-wide events.
In addition, Globus also recently launched a new partnership with social media management company, Rallio, to provide its travel advisors with an easy, time-saving solution to promote the Globus family of brands across advisors’ social media accounts, and hopefully attracting more clients, too.
“Our Rallio partnership puts scroll-stopping, read-to-share content at advisor fingertips so they can stay visible and valuable online,” said McGillivray. “Combined with our robust marketing toolkit, Travel Advisor Portal, GFOB University, Webinars and one-on-one sales support with business planning resources, we’re not just in advisor corners—we’re in their feed, inbox and growth strategy.”
Can Travel Advisors Earn Rewards for Booking Globus Trips?

Yes! Globus has a comprehensive incentive program that rewards travel advisors who sell tour and river cruises with large discounts and even the opportunity for totally free trips, including for your companion.
“We’re big believers in turning your bookings into boarding passes. With our incentive program, the more you sell, the more you save—up to 100% off your own vacations,” McGillivray said. “Whether it’s Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways (Suite Rewards), your personal travel, and that of your companion, becomes a reward for your business success. It’s our way of saying: See the world you sell.”
