The eighth-annual Future Leaders in Travel conference, powered by TravelAge West, took place in Anchorage, Alaska, September 21-24.
Through educational workshops, one-on-one appointments with advisors and suppliers, and networking excursions, Future Leaders in Travel aims to foster the growth and development of the next generation of travel advisors and suppliers.
Future Leaders was held in partnership with Visit Anchorage this year. The event hosted 65 advisors between the ages of 22 and 40 who are identified as being the industry’s next wave of leaders. Travel advisors were selected through an application process requiring applicants to demonstrate their personal brand, share thoughts on the current state of the industry, and provide professional references.
Excursion events this year included a visit to Hilltop Ski Area, an evening on the Alaska Railroad, a Glacier Cruise with Phillips Cruises and Tours, and a closing party at Mad Myrna's.

The 2026 Future Leaders in Travel will be held in Riviera Maya, Mexico on August 25-28. Applications will open in the spring of 2026.
