Summer in Europe is pure magic but some of its best moments come after the season's peak. That’s why Eurail, the iconic train pass that allows travel throughout 33 European countries, is encouraging travelers to treat summer not as a few fleeting calendar pages but as a mindset that stretches well into September and October.

From crisp sunsets on the Adriatic to hopscotching through the Greek Islands (minus the high-season mania) and high-speed hops between Europe’s buzziest big cities, late summer and early autumn is a sensational time to explore Europe with a Eurail pass.

All while enjoying comfortable temperatures and the chance to attend one of many bucket-list-worthy autumnal festivals

To help you or your client take full advantage, Eurail is now offering 20% off all Eurail Global Passes purchased until July 3, valid for travel starting September 1, 2025.

Here are a few recent European rail developments that will make your autumn adventure more special:

Adriatic Itinerary

With glittering coastlines, alpine lakes and storybook cities, Slovenia and Croatia check all the boxes for a late-season escape. Eurail’s curated itinerary pairs iconic stops with offbeat gems (think everything from a 24-kilometer cave to a train ride hugging the Adriatic).

Go Greek

Using the Greek Islands Pass, travelers can discover lesser-known Aegean islands beyond the usual cruise circuit on ferries. Think sea breezes, quiet tavernas and no races to score the last sun lounger on this curated itinerary.

Baltic Brought Together

Improved timetables now allow seamless one-day travel across Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, a Baltic breakthrough that shrinks distances and expands possibilities.

New Routes in 2025

Berlin–Paris: A new daytime train adds a smooth scenic option alongside the popular night service with a time of just over eight hours.

Amsterdam–Munich: A new direct route links two cultural powerhouses with stops in Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart along the way.

Poland: The Koleje Małopolskie rail brand has joined the Eurail pass network, with routes linking Kraków, Zakopane and beyond, opening up southern Poland to be explored by rail.

Revamped Tripplanner

Eurail’s updated web-based Tripplanner tool now lets travelers map routes, select the right Pass and even share itineraries with friends which helps turn inspiration into action.
