June is Pride Month, and that means there are plenty of celebrations across the country to experience. Here’s a sampling of eight of them, of every size.

1. WorldPride 2025 is being held in Washington, D.C., the first the event has been in the U.S. since New York City hosted it back in 2019. This year’s event started on May 17 and runs through June 8, with the big parade scheduled for June 7 and a huge street festival on both June 7 and 8. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of Pride celebrations in the nation’s capital. Various celebrations include a film festival, tons of music and entertainment, the Capital Cup Sports Festival, and a human rights conference.

2. The 55th annual San Francisco Pride celebration will take place June 28-29. This year’s theme is “Queer Joy Is Resistance.” Founded in 1970 as the Gay Freedom Day Parade, the event has evolved into one of the largest and most renowned LGBTQ celebrations in the world, with up to one million visitors annually. And make sure to carve out time for Monét X Change, winner of the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Monét will emcee San Francisco Opera’s Pride Concert on June 27 at the War Memorial Opera House. Classically trained in opera, she is among the artists headlining this celebration of the queer community.

3. Although Las Vegas Pride happens in October, the city is celebrating Pride month with plenty of events. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas host a house party at Kassi Beach House on June 11 in partnership with Piranha and Gipsy nightclubs. And on June 15, Piranha and Gipsy will take over Kassi Beach Club again, presenting PRIZM. This over-the-top pride party will feature jaw-dropping performances from drag entertainers and performers. Alexandria Pool at SAHARA Las Vegas is featuring ELEVATE Pool Parties hosted by Las Vegas PRIDE, an inclusive, off-the-rails soirée that will have even the most seasoned partiers feeling the energy Saturdays throughout Pride Month. And ¡VIVA! at Resorts World Las Vegas will host Drag Brunch: A Pride Month Fiesta with performances from local drag queens and cast members from RuPaul’s Drag Race, along with a family-style brunch and bottomless margaritas or Bloody Marias.

4. Athens, Ga. may not get the Pride limelight that the state capital does, but this fun university town is making waves recently. Since 2022, Athens Pride & Queer Collective has hosted the Athens Pride Parade, with attendance jumping from 3,000 to 5,000 in just two years. This year, the celebration will include Pridefest—a full-day downtown event on June 7, adding  a street festival with local food trucks, makers, live music, and a family zone. Said local drag queen Jacqueline Daniels, “One of the things I love about Athens Pride is the easiness of being there. As you walk through the crowd the smiles you see on faces. The hellos. The excitement you feel when you see someone who can walk down the street as their most authentic self with their head held high!”

5. Another small-town festival to consider is Marquette, Mich. On Friday, June 14, the city’s Mattson Lower Harbor Park will host Pride Fest, featuring a full day of celebration, community, and live entertainment—including musical performances. This is one of the largest Pride events in the state’s Upper Peninsula, and it everything from a high-energy drag show and interactive games to local vendors, craft beverages, and LGBTQ resources. Plus, visitors are right next to Marquette’s walkable downtown, known for its historic charm and independent shops, as well as easy access to outdoor recreation and activities.

6. Miami Beach’s Classical Music Festival is kicking off Pride Month with two vibrant nights of live music, dynamic performances, and large-scale visual art. The Miami Beach Pride Concert takes place on May 31 and June 1 at Ocean Drive & 12th Street. The historic Tides building will be transformed into a luminous art installation via cutting-edge projection mapping. There will also be DJs and live performers, including DJ La Trice, Siobhan Cronin, Gerard Ortega, Ward Zulu’s Vogue Extravaganza, DJ Eliad Cohen, and Otto Santana. This free public event also features an on-site cash bar from Palace Bar & Restaurant.

7. Dallas, home to the nation's sixth-largest LGBTQ population, is bursting with bars, restaurants, and neighborhoods that celebrate diversity. Dallas Pride, located Fair Park will run June 14-15 and kicks off with the Dallas Pride Music Festival on Saturday featuring musical and dance performances; the Dallas Pride Parade will be on Sunday. Part of the festival is Teen Pride, which fosters a safe environment for LGBTQ youth ages 13 to 19 and their friends. If you’re staying in town all week, don’t miss the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, which hosts a special Pride Night concert on June 20.

8. Newport, R.I.’s Pride Parade and Festival  celebrates love and unity—and honors the LGBTQ community’s identities and impact in Newport and beyond. On June 28th, families, friends, and allies gather for the Pride Parade at 11 a.m. Afterward, visitors can continue their celebrations at the Pride Festival at the iconic Great Friends Meeting House, the oldest surviving house of worship in Rhode Island, built in 1699. There will be live music, drag performances, food trucks, and local vendors. And the Pride After Dark Party at Parlor Bar will keep the party going until 1 a.m.!
