Club Med, the worldwide leader in premium all-inclusive vacations, just announced that 2024 represented a banner year for the company. The resort brand hit new highs in terms of business growth, strategic accomplishments, guest numbers and resort capacity, setting the stage for a big 75th anniversary celebration in 2025.

After successfully shifting toward a more upscale market, Club Med is ready to ride this record-breaking momentum and capitalize on the growing demand for upmarket all-inclusive travel experiences.

Club Med’s key global achievements in 2024 included:

  • Business Growth: Business volume climbed seven percent at comparable exchange rates, reaching €2.09 billion.
  • More Beds, More Guests: Resort capacity grew by five percent, with every resort now part of the Premium or Exclusive Collection since April 2024. Over 1.5 million people chose Club Med for their vacations this year, up one percent.
  • Higher Occupancy: The average room occupancy rate rose to 75 percent, with a notable two-point increase at Premium and Exclusive Collection Resorts.
  • Moving Mountains: The winter and summer seasons at Mountain Resorts saw a 20 percent jump in business volume, now making up 35 percent of Club Med’s overall revenue.
  • Rising Room Rates: With the upscale push and booming ski travel, the average daily room rate rose by seven percent at a comparable exchange rate.
  • Booking Ahead: Looking forward, bookings for the first half of 2025 are already 5.7 percent higher than the same period last year.
  • Regional Growth: The ESAP region (East and Southeast Asia Pacific) saw a 24 percent increase in business volume year-over-year, fueled by resorts in Japan, China and the European Alps.
  • Vietnam Market Surge: Sales in Vietnam jumped 32 percent, with ski travel to Hokkaido alone making up 56 percent of those sales. Tropical favorites like the Maldives and Bali also remain strong contenders.

Bruno Courbet, Club Med’s Country Director for Thailand, Indonesia, India and New Markets, remarked, "Vietnam's exceptional growth underscores the success of our efforts to build a strong and resonant brand within this dynamic market. The remarkable traction we are seeing in ski travel to Hokkaido, alongside the continued popularity of destinations like Maldives, Bali, demonstrates the evolving travel aspirations of Vietnamese consumers."

The company is gearing up to keep pace with evolving traveler demands by focusing on three key trends that will dictate its trajectory in 2025:

1.  Strengthening Leadership in Premium All-Inclusive Travel

2.  Meeting demand for Summer Mountain Holidays

3.  Commitment to Sustainability

Looking forward, Club Med is strategically growing its global presence through new resort openings, targeted renovations and a strong focus on sustainable tourism.

  • Asia Pacific’s first BREEAM-certified resort, opening in 2026
  • The brand’s first-ever beach resort in the Gulf States, slated for 2028
  • A unique Beach & Safari Resort classified under the Exclusive Collection, arriving in 2026
  • Major renovations planned for Thailand in 2025 and Indonesia in 2026
