Villas of Distinction announced significant year-over-year
growth across top international destinations in Q1 2025, signaling continued
demand among luxury clients for curated villa stays.
According to the luxury villa rental company, bookings
increased by double digits in several markets, including Mexico, the Caribbean,
and European destinations, including Portugal, Greece, and Spain.
“We’re seeing advisors lean into the appeal of villas more
than ever—whether it’s helping clients plan their December festive travel now
or securing last-minute getaways,” said Steve Lassman, vice president of agency

Q1 Booking Trends
Top Performers: Mexico (Los Cabos, Punta Mita, Puerto
Vallarta), the Caribbean (Barbados, Anguilla, St. Martin, Jamaica), and select
parts of Europe (Portugal, Greece, Spain, France) led growth, with bookings up
double digits compared to Q1 2024.
Booking Behavior: Travel advisors continue to book both
spontaneous trips and future travel, with strong activity for summer and
December 2025 festive season for their clients.
Stay Trends: There is growing interest in larger groups
traveling together, with guests valuing the shared luxury experience.
U.S. Market Insight: U.S. travel also surged, with notable
growth over last year, primarily in Hawaii and Florida. These trips are longer
in duration and often include larger parties.
