Trafalgar is expanding into river cruising.
The company, which specializes in guided land tours, will launch two European river cruise itineraries in the spring of 2026. Bookings are now open for travel advisors, ahead of the general public.
“We’ve always been about making it easy for travelers to connect with the heart and soul of every destination,” says Melissa DaSilva, deputy chief executive officer of TTC Tour Brands. “Now, we’re bringing that same philosophy and unmatched experience—valued by our travel advisor partners—to Europe’s iconic rivers.”
Trafalgar will debut two new journeys starting April 11, 2026. On the Danube River, it will offer an 8-day cruise on the 128-passenger Trafalgar Reverie. On the Rhine, it will offer a 10-day cruise on the 128-passenger Trafalgar Verity.
The voyages will include local specialists, opportunities to collect with locals, onboard entertainment, wellness offerings, regional dining and experiences that support United Nations sustainable development goals.
“Advisors who have supported Trafalgar for years can be confident in the river cruise experience we’re creating,” says DaSilva. “We can’t wait to share that same feeling of ease and comfort, local connection and joy of discovery we’re going to bring to Europe’s rivers aboard our two beautiful ships, the Trafalgar Reverie and Trafalgar Verity.”
Trafalgar’s news comes on the heels of a similar announcement from Lindblad Expeditions, which plans to expand into European river cruising in 2026. Celebrity Cruises will also enter the market in 2027.
