The opening dates for two upscale all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic – the adults-only Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa and the family-friendly Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa – are nearing, with the two properties set to debut on August 1 and September 1, 2025., respectively.
“These sister properties will be the very first resorts to open in Playa Esmeralda, setting the tone for a new era of boutique-style, high-end all-inclusive escapes that prioritize sustainability and a connection to place,” company officials said.
The 500-room Secrets Playa Esmeralda will feature accommodations with private balconies or terraces, ocean and garden views and an elevated level of service.
In all, the resort will be home to 10 bars restaurants and six bar; The Secrets Spa, with 12 treatment a hydrotherapy circuit and a beauty salon; and upward of 15,000 square feet meetings space.
Dreams Playa Esmeralda, which also boasts 500 rooms, offer guests the option of double connecting rooms to accommodate different sizes of family and friends groups.
The resort will also house nine restaurants; three pools; nightly entertainment at the Theater, a range of activities, including kayaking and beach volleyball and programming designed for guests of all ages and interests.
“At the heart of both properties is a village-style hub – a lively communal area filled with shopping, dining and entertainment,” officials for the two properties said. “Both resorts also feature the Preferred Club, an elevated booking tier offering exclusive amenities, upgraded suites and premium experiences.”
The Secrets and Dreams brands are part of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection.
