Ladera, which is nestled in Saint Lucia’s Piton Mountain range, has begun welcoming guests back following a major renovation which includes a new wellness center, revamped accommodations and four new restaurants.

“We have the most special setting on all of the island: The resort was built on a ridge and it feels like you can reach out and touch the Pitons in either direction,” said Ladera Property Manager Eustace Augustine, a 41-year veteran of the property, who helped build it.

One of the centerpieces of the renovation is the 25,000-square-foot lévé Wellness & Spa, which offers stunning views of the rainforest valley.

“The aromas of the products, the sounds of the birds and wind, the experience at lévé is meant to seamlessly connect guests with the incredible nature around them in a pure and honest way,” said the spa’s manager, Valencia Biscette

On the accommodations front, the resort’s 37 suites and villas have been overhauled to mirror the resort’s rainforest setting,” with “new, organically inspired colors and fabrics” and bespoke furniture designed in partnership with the property’s “master carver,

New restaurants include the Jako Wellness Café at lévé Wellness & Spa, with offerings that include smoothies and cold-pressed juices for breakfast and lunch; and the al fresco Sunset Fish Fry, set near the property’s infinity pool, which is ideally suited for taking the island’s spectacular sunsets.

The Hideaway Rum Bar features what Ladera referred to as a “candlelit Caribbean cave ambience,” boasting offerings from small-batch rum producers to tapas and cheese plates.

The Wine Room of Dasheene added a cozy dining experience, with a locally inspired tasting menu.

“It would be hard to get closer to nature anywhere in the world,” said Ladera General Manager Christian Gandara. “Ladera is total immersion, and our new renovation connects guests even closer to this Saint Lucian paradise.”
