Riviera Travel, the leader in ultra-premium river cruise, ocean yachts, and land global travel for more than 40 years, today announced that Eric Schmit has been named vice president of sales for North America. The news follows Riviera’s recent announcement of a new flagship North American office in Fort Lauderdale and comes as the company deepens its investment in the North American market, aiming to increase its brand visibility, enhance trade partnerships and accelerate sales growth.
With more than 14 years of experience in the luxury travel and hospitality industry, Schmit brings a dynamic blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building and results-driven leadership. Most recently serving as director of business development and national accounts at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, he played a key role in reshaping the sales organization, strengthening relationships with top partners such as Signature Travel Network and Virtuoso, and consistently surpassing revenue targets. Known for his energy, strategic mindset, and ability to lead high-performing teams, Schmit brings a passion for partnership development and a track record of delivering measurable results in competitive, fast-paced environments.
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome Eric to the Riviera Travel team,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel. “He brings a strong blend of energy, strategic thinking and a collaborative spirit that aligns perfectly with our ambitious growth plans. Eric’s deep understanding of the luxury cruise market and his passion for building meaningful partnerships will be a key asset as we expand our presence across North America.”

Also joining Riviera’s sales team is South Carolina-based Jarret Kettinger, who has been appointed regional sales director. With a background in hospitality sales and a strong track record of cultivating travel advisor relationships, Kettinger most recently served as director of key and host accounts at Railbookers Group, formerly Yankee Leisure Group, where he led partnerships with top travel agencies, host agencies and consortia. In this role, he also took a hands-on approach to mentoring sales teams, analyzing performance data and representing the brand at key industry events. Kettinger will play a vital role in expanding Riviera’s presence in North America through strategic engagement and advisor support.
Kettinger will report to Schmit, who will lead Riviera’s North American sales team and spearhead efforts to grow and support the company’s trade business. Schmit will report directly to Milan.
