The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is sharing more details about its third superyacht, Luminara, which is slated to debut this summer.
The ship will set sail on its maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome on July 3, spending its inaugural season in the Mediterranean. From there, it will sail through Africa and the Indian Ocean before beginning Asia-Pacific itineraries in December. Starting in May 2026, Luminara will spend the summer in Alaska and Canada.
“With Luminara, we’ve raised the bar once again, uniting legendary service, elevated design and an extraordinary onboard experience to further define our distinct approach to ultra-luxury travel at sea,” says Ernesto Fara, president of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “This remarkable superyacht opens the door to new destinations and deeper guest experiences, reinforcing our commitment to thoughtful exploration and continuous innovation across the fleet.”
Luminara, which means “light in Latin,” can accommodate up to 452 guests in 226 suites. The 794-foot-long ship has public spaces designed by Toronto-based Chapi Design Luxury Division and suites designed by London-based AD Associates, with lighting by consultants DPA.
Guests can expect walnut wood, Arabescato Corchia marble and a color palette of soft blues, warm greys and deep ocean hues with bronze and ruby accents. Each suite has a private terrace and a color palette of dark oak, Emporada marble and smoked glass accents, with neutrals, warm timbers and metal finishes. Some also feature custom furnishings from Minotti, Giorgetti, Talenti, Poltrona Frau and Molteni.
The superyacht is full of expertly curated art, with 731 total pieces by artists such as Paul Klee, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter and Andy Warhol. Of those, 65 percent were commissioned specifically for the ship.
Come meal time, the yacht offers five dining venues, including two developed by James Beard award-winners and Michelin-starred restaurant chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina. Seta su Luminara, in collaboration with Trabocchi, will feature an 8-course tasting menu alongside an à la carte selection of modern Italian cuisine, while Beach House, created with Mina, will offer Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors. Azur on Luminara will have regionally inspired menus with seasonal ingredients; Haesu Bit, will incorporate flavors from destinations like Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea and China; and Mistral will specialize in fresh seafood and grilled meats.
The ship will also have an expansive Marina, Marina Terrace and Marina Beach, with a dynamic floating lounge platform with a central pool where guests can swim directly in the sea. From the platform, guests will be able to participate in activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, Seabob and electric foiling boards. A panoramic pool area on Deck 10 will host the main pool and two jacuzzis.
Also onboard, The Ritz-Carlton Spa will offer nourishing treatments from ESPA, 111SKIN and Pisterzi across 11 treatment rooms. Luminara will also have dedicated retail spaces for Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen and Piaget, while The Boutique will offer resort wear, accessories, exclusive co-branded Lululemon apparel, vintage finds and unique home décor and gifts.
“As the first luxury hospitality brand to launch into yachting, The Ritz-Carlton continues to redefine immersive travel at sea,” says Tina Edmundson, president of luxury for Marriott International. “Rooted in our legendary service, Luminara is a continuation of our legacy, yet entirely her own—a vessel designed for connection, discovery, and the transformative power of travel. Onboard, she introduces far-reaching itineraries, a refined culinary vision and thoughtfully designed spaces that reflect her own sense of place and purpose.”
