Brilliant Lady, Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, is gearing up for her “MerMaiden” voyage from Miami.
The ship has been sailing from New York since debuting there last month. On October 17, the vessel will arrive in Miami and mark the start of her Caribbean season.
The line-up kicks off with an eight-night voyage headlined by Grammy-nominated artist and culinary creator Kelis. The one-time-only itinerary includes stops in Tortola, St. Maarten and Virgin Voyages’ private Beach Club at Bimini.
Known for hits like “Milkshake” and “Bossy,” Kelis will deliver a high-energy performance on Brilliant Lady’s pool deck. Kelis, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu, will also debut a new Kelis Sundae at The Wake.
“There's something magical about performing at sea and creating something deliciously special to celebrate such an epic moment aboard Brilliant Lady,” says Kelis in a statement. “Virgin Voyages gets that music and food tell stories, and I'm excited to share both sides of my passions with Sailors on this incredible Miami celebration."
In honor of Miami’s legendary nightlife, the ship will also offer a bespoke speakeasy experience featuring cocktail menus curated in collaboration with local favorites The Sylvester, Bar Kaiju, Swizzle and Better Days.
