Next spring, JetBlue will make a significant new addition to its European route network when it launches its first-ever flights to Italy.

The budget carrier announced on Wednesday that it will debut a nonstop route from Boston (BOS) to Milan, with seasonal service starting in May. Daily flights to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) will begin May 11, 2026.

In addition to the service to Milan, JetBlue will also begin nonstop flights from Boston to Barcelona in April. The airline already flies to Madrid from Boston, making Barcelona its second destination in Spain. JetBlue will begin daily seasonal flights from BOS to Barcelona’s Josep Tarradellas El Prat Airport (BCN) on April 16, 2026.

The carrier will use its Airbus A321 aircraft outfitted with its popular Mint business class cabin to operate both new flights. Mint offers lie-flat beds enclosed by sliding privacy doors and a small plates in-flight dining concept designed by New York City restaurants like Charlie Bird and Pasquale Jones.

Passengers in the A321 economy cabin, called “Core,” get free name-brand snacks, soft drinks, beer, wine, and liquor, plus a complimentary meal from Dig Inn.

“Customers flying to Europe with JetBlue enjoy the kind of thoughtful design, privacy, and hospitality they simply won’t find with legacy carriers, and we’re proud to continue delivering incredible value and style on both sides of the Atlantic,” said the airline’s CEO Joanna Geraghty.

Fares on both of the new routes go on sale November 20.

The airline has been significantly expanding its transatlantic network in recent years, and it will fly a total of 14 Europe-bound routes in summer 2026 from both BOS and New York JFK.

In addition to Spain and Italy, JetBlue also flies to Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Paris from its transatlantic gateways at BOS and JFK.
