Global travel distributor and long-time host agency, InteleTravel,
announced the acquisition of Tickitto, a UK-based API platform that provides
access to tickets for curated live events and global experiences, including
major league sports, headliner concerts, Formula 1, FIFA and more.
Like previous InteleTravel acquisitions, Tickitto and its
current team, including CEO Dana Lattouf, will continue to operate as an
independent brand under the InteleTravel umbrella alongside subsidiaries Hickory
Global Partners, MGME and Major Travel.
InteleTravel generated over $1 billion in sales in 2024 and
serves over 130,000 advisors. The acquisition demonstrates the company's
dedication to offering the most comprehensive services for travelers.
Founded in late 2019, Tickitto provides advanced technology
solutions to businesses by offering access to unique events and experiences.
Through a modern API connection, standardized data and white-label ticket
booking sites, businesses can tap into more than $63 billion worth of tickets
for a wide range of experiences — from concerts and theater shows to sports
events and unique local activities.
The partnership also enables InteleTravel’s network of
advisors to book travel and accommodations around exclusive events and
attractions to expand and improve customer value and experiences. Hickory and
MGME will also offer corporate clients highly sought after VIP sports and show
experiences.
James
R. Ferrara, CEO of InteleTravel said in a statement, “Our analysis shows
that 1 in 10 travel bookings are related to a live event, concert or sporting
event and these tickets are the center of thousands of additional dollars in
spend. We believe that 2025 will continue to see a rise in ‘eventcations’ and be
as much about the unique moments people are seeking as the destinations they
want to visit.”
He added, “With Tickitto now under the InteleTravel
umbrella, we can take advantage of our packaging ability through our supply
partners, our technology and our tour operation, Major Travel, to offer more
value and a richer experience to our customers and increase profits for our
advisors and our companies.”
With the acquisition, InteleTravel has direct, contracted
access to new inventory, previously difficult to tap into due to the complexity
of ticketing supply and a fragmented, outdated marketplace. The integration provides
a competitive advantage to InteleTravel’s portfolio by solving the event
pricing model, often bloated by reselling in secondary and tertiary markets.
