Grupo Xcaret unveiled details about its upcoming projects and developments during a private event at FITUR 2025 in Madrid, showcasing the hospitality company’s evolution in accommodation, gastronomy and sustainable tourism.
New Investment
The company's flagship property, Hotel Xcaret México, announced a major transformation backed by a $700 million investment.
The expansion will feature 1,800 rooms across 10 “Casas,”that are designed to cater to multigenerational groups. The hotel's new amenities include several innovative spaces: a children's hotel called Hotelito, an immersive play center named Lunateca, a teen-exclusive club called Paxanguería and a 24-hour restaurant-cinema known as Xinema.
Adults are not forgotten in the new plans. They will enjoy the addition of Xupes, a speakeasy featuring the exclusive taco bar Pavajarla.
The property will also introduce a renovated Muluk Spa Familia, combining relaxation and entertainment for both families and adults.
New Culinary Options
In addition, Grupo Xcaret announced the opening of XAL restaurant at La Casa de la Playa in the first quarter of 2025.
The restaurant will operate under the leadership of renowned Chef Andoni Aduriz and celebrate the cultural and culinary legacy of the Manila Route, bringing together influences from Mexico, the Philippines and the Basque Country.
The restaurant aims to blend Mexican culinary traditions with contemporary techniques.
Cultural Events
The company also revealed plans for several cultural events throughout the year.
These include the second edition of Apapaxoa, a festival celebrating Mexican cuisine; the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano, showcasing Mexico's artisanal heritage; and the fourth annual Festival Paax GNP, directed by maestro Alondra de la Parra.
Demonstrating its commitment to economic development and sustainability, Grupo Xcaret highlighted its role in generating more than 1,600 direct jobs in the Riviera Maya. The company's Chief Hotels Officer, Akis Neocleous, noted that eco-integrative architecture and environmentally friendly technology remain fundamental to all of the company’s projects.
To celebrate these developments, Grupo Xcaret announced a special promotion running for 30 days from February 10, 2025, offering free stays for children under 18 when rooms are booked for two adults. This offer will be valid for stays throughout the year.
