Popular dating show "The Golden Bachelor" will film the final two episodes of its second season in the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda, showcasing four of the region's resorts.
Filmed across four Elite Island Resorts properties—Galley Bay Resort & Spa, Hammock Cove Antigua, Pineapple Beach Club Antigua and The Verandah Antigua—the episodes will air on November 5 and 12 on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu.
"We’re thrilled to see Antigua and Barbuda take center stage in The Golden Bachelor,” said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. “Our islands have always been a place where romance comes naturally — from sunset strolls on the beach to unforgettable stays at our beautiful resorts. It’s an honor to share that magic with audiences around the world.”
"The Golden Bachelor" features 66-year-old former NFL player Mel Owens as he searches for love with a large cast of contestants. Owens is the second Golden Bachelor to appear on the show.
The stars of the show will be able to explore everything that Elite Island Resorts' properties have to offer as the show's season concludes, including pink- and white-sand beaches, lagoon spas and gourmet dining.
Tourism in Antigua and Barbuda surged in 2024, with nearly 50,000 more visitors than in 2023, the National Bureau of Statistics said. The Caribbean nation’s role as host of the Golden Bachelor adds to its visibility as tourism climbs.
