The Walt Disney Company will commemorate the US’s 250th anniversary with the “Disney Celebrating America” event at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort from Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day, through the 2026 July 4th weekend.

Part and parcel to the event will be the 2026 opening of Soarin’ Across America, an immersive flight experience at the Soarin’ attractions in California Adventure Park and EPCOT.

“The Soarin’ Across America attraction will add a new airborne element at Disney California Adventure Park and EPOCT, transporting guests on a breathtaking journey, highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes,” Disney said.

As part of the celebration, Disney will extend invitations to US military families to attend one-of-a-kind events and experiences at military bases throughout the country.

And, in November, Disney Experiences will introduce 2026 offers at Walt Disney World Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line for eligible service members to thank them for their service.

On the July 4th weekend in 2026, the “Disney Celebrating America” event will conclude with 24-hour of programming from Disney’s networks and streaming platforms, followed by fireworks displays at Disneyland and Disney World.

“David Muir, anchor and managing editor of ‘World News Tonight with David Muir,’ will lead the daylong coverage and be joined by ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting from across the country for this one-in-a-lifetime presentation featuring top entertainers, athletes, explorers, and historians – all coming together to spotlight the wonder, achievements, and dreams that define the American spirit,” Disney said.

“At its heart, America’s story is one of imagination, ambition and possibility – the same ideals that have guided Disney since the beginning,” said Robert I. Iger, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company.

“This celebration honors both a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’s next,” he added.
