Curaçao’s September Arrival Totals Are Up 8 Percent From Last Year

Curaçao hosted 53,671 overnight, land-based visitors in September, an eight percent increase compared with September 2024.

Regionally the results were positive, as North America led with a 13 percent increase in arrivals, followed by South America with an 11 percent increase, and Europe with a 4 percent increase compared to September 2024.

In contrast, the Caribbean region as a whole recorded a decline of 8 percent.

The European region remained the top source in absolute number of arrivals for Curaçao, with 21,407 overnight visitors, followed by South America with 14,516 and North America with 14,283 overnight visitors. According to Immigration Card data, visitors stayed an average of 8.3 nights in Curaçao.

A total of 13,245 arrivals came from the U.S. in September 2025, an 11 percent increase compared to the same period last year. In terms of accommodation, 69 percent of visitors chose resort hotels, while 31 percent stayed in alternative accommodations. The average length of stay for American visitors was 5.8 nights.

For January through September, Curaçao recorded a total of 1,207,419 visitors, with 581,144 overnight arrivals, 34,262 day-trippers, and 592,013 cruise passengers, reflecting an overall 7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Overnight arrivals increased by 13 percent year-to-date compared to the same period in 2024, indicating a strong upward trajectory in the island’s core tourism segment.
