Celestyal Cruises has appointed John Diorio as its new vice president and managing director for North America.
In his new role, Diorio will help craft Celestyal’s strategic business plan for the North American market. He will also launch Celestyal’s travel advisor engagement strategy.
Over the last year, Celestyal has seen a 25 percent increase in guests from North America.
“I'm incredibly excited to join Celestyal at this pivotal time of growth and partnership expansion,” says Diorio. “I look forward to collaborating with such a dynamic and talented team as we work together to achieve our shared goals and build on the company's remarkable success with the travel advisor community in North America."
Most recently, Diorio was vice president of North American sales for Virgin Voyages. Before that, his previous roles included director of sales at The Mark Travel Corporation and vice president of affiliate marketing for Hotels.com.
Diorio will be based in central Florida and report directly to Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal.
