About Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg is one of the sixteen federal states in Germany and located in the Southwest of the country. It offers a diverse blend of attractions in a sunny climate. The region excels in food and wine, featuring both Michelin-starred restaurants and traditional taverns and offers charming cities and landscapes to discover.

The Black Forest is known for its dense woods, misty hills, and beautiful scenery. It is in the west of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and is close to the borders with France and Switzerland. The Black Forest is the birthplace of the cuckoo clock and the legendary setting for many of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales. The region offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking and biking. Visitors can also enjoy the local cuisine, including the world-famous Black Forest cake.

Located at the northwestern border of the Black Forest, Baden-Baden, a picturesque spa town, offers a unique blend of relaxation and cultural experiences. The town is home to the Caracalla Spa and the historic Friedrichsbad, both renowned for their healing thermal waters. Visitors can also explore several museums, a beautiful casino and the Festspielhaus, one of Europe's largest opera and concert houses.

Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, is renowned for its vibrant art scene and automotive heritage. The city is home to the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums, showcasing the rich history of automobile manufacturing. Additionally, Stuttgart hosts several annual events, such as the Cannstatter Volksfest, one of the largest beer festivals in the world.
