Allianz Partners' annual ranking of top destinations for Thanksgiving reveals only few changes for 2025.
Most Popular US Travel Destinations for Thanksgiving
New York City remains the ultimate Turkey Day destination for the fifth straight year, edging out busy cities in Seattle and Phoenix on the West Coast.
Other sought-after Thanksgiving locales include Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles, while Orlando, Boston, Miami and Chicago round out the top 10, based on survey data from more than 1,200 Allianz customers.

Most Popular International Travel Destinations for Thanksgiving
Like the Big Apple, Mexico remains a coveted destination for Thanksgiving, with Cancun securing the top spot in Allianz's rankings for the fifth straight year. San Jose Del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta also remained among the top three, with country's capital of Mexico City ranking eighth.
Europe will be another popular region next month, with London ranking fourth and Paris coming in at number six.
The sun-drenched Caribbean continues to be an in-demand escape for the holiday season, with Punta Cana, Dominican Republic ranking fifth and countries and territories like Jamaica, Aruba and Turks and Caicos cracking the top 10.

"Americans are once again making Thanksgiving travel a priority, but they're also becoming savvier about how they plan," Emily Hartman, General Manager at Allianz Partners USA, said in a statement. "
"More travelers are booking early, spending confidently, and protecting their trips with travel insurance to ensure they can focus on what matters most, time with loved ones, instead of worrying about potential disruptions."
