Air France-KLM is strengthening its presence in South Asia, expanding its network to capture one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets.

Central to this strategy is an emerging partnership with IndiGo, India's largest airline. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 1, 2025, alongside Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic, aims to create an industry-leading network connecting India with Europe and North America.

The partnership builds on existing codeshare arrangements dating back to 2022 but represents a deeper commercial cooperation.

Through this alliance, IndiGo customers gain access to Air France-KLM's extensive European and trans-Atlantic networks via its Amsterdam hub, while Air France-KLM passengers can connect to more than 30 IndiGo-served destinations across India.

The collaboration extends beyond passenger service to include a cargo interline agreement signed in July 2024 between Air France KLM Martinair Cargo and IndiGo CarGo.

This strategic partnership positions both carriers to capitalize on India's rapidly growing aviation market.

For Air France-KLM, partnering with India's dominant low-cost carrier provides crucial market access and relevance in a region where European carriers cannot easily establish dominance independently.

For IndiGo, the alliance accelerates its evolution from a domestic and regional player into a global carrier with seamless international connections.

During the Winter 2025-2026 season, Air France will operate nearly 800 daily flights to close to 170 destinations worldwide, with long-haul capacity increasing 3%. New routes include service to Phuket, Thailand, beginning November 27, 2025, while Bangkok will now receive twice-daily service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Air France's robust US network serves as a vital connector for American travelers reaching India and beyond.

The airline now serves 19 US destinations, with Phoenix becoming its newest city in May 2024, offering three to five weekly Boeing 787-9 flights. Las Vegas joins the network in April 2026 with three weekly Airbus A350 flights, while Portland passengers can access Air France's global network through convenient connections.

Through its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, US travelers from these cities gain streamlined access to Air France-KLM's worldwide destinations, including the expanding India network through the IndiGo partnership, creating a comprehensive bridge between American cities and South Asian destinations.
