The 2024 edition of the annual Travvy Awards marked another
major milestone for travel, and one of the highlights of the show was the
spotlight shined on the airline industry.
During the 10th annual Travvy Awards, which took place on
November 7 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center, the
Northstar Travel Group’s TravelPulse.com and AGENTatHOME presented a series of
awards to the top air carriers.
"Travel advisors, aka the real travel influencers out
there, cast their votes to select these top brands," TravelPulse Executive
Editor Eric Bowman said. "We're thrilled to once again gather together
with the travel industry's best and brightest, as well as celebrate the inaugural
40 Under 40 winners."
In the best airline consolidator category, Sky Bird Travel
& Tours took home the gold statuette, Centrav brought home the silver and Cosmopolitan
Travel Service rounded out the top three with a bronze Travvy Award.
As for the best domestic airlines, Delta Air Lines earned
the top prize and took home the gold, while United Airlines finished second in
the voting and American Airlines collected a bronze statuette.
Air Canada took home the gold statuette in the best international
airline category, followed by Emirates earning the silver and Qatar Airlines finishing
in third place.
The award ceremony has become an important part of the
industry, thanks to the winners being selected by travel advisors and agents.
Hundreds of Travvy statuettes were handed out to the winning destinations,
hotels/resorts, cruise lines, tour operators and car rental companies that
delivered the highest quality experiences.
